3D previsualisation for events: from site visit to show night

When a client visits a venue, it is hard to imagine what the event will look like. 3D previsualisation closes that gap: the whole event is built inside a model of the real venue and approved before the first truck arrives.

Step 1: visit and survey

We visit the venue and measure it, so the model matches the real space to scale: terraces, façades, gardens, levels and access routes.

Step 2: the venue in 3D

The venue is rebuilt as a to-scale 3D model. Every later decision, from stage position to speakers, lighting and guest layout, is made against it.

Step 3: design inside the model

  • Decor and guest layout.
  • Stage, structures and sightlines.
  • Sound system: where the speakers stand and how they blend into the setup.
  • Lighting design and how it integrates with the architecture.

Step 4: day and night

Light changes everything. In 3D you can see the same space from daylight to nightfall, something a site visit cannot show.

Step 5: approval before installation

The client sees the finished result before the installation begins. Changes at this stage are quick and inexpensive compared with changes on site.

Step 6: build it for real

After approval the model becomes the build plan. At Château de la Croix des Gardes we built a wedding twice, first in 3D and then in reality, and we have both results side by side.
